Please Note: We we sell 3 types of batteries: acid, gel filled and lithium.
Acid Type: We are NOT allowed to send acid through the post so you will need to source the acid locally for this type of battery.
Gel Type: Batteries can be sent through the post, and do not require filling with acid before use.

Dry Charged Batteries - We can supply a range of dry charged batteries to suit all Bullets.

Gel Batteries - We can now supply some batteries pre-filled with a gel electrolyte. These are factory sealed and ready to use. This style should offer a longer life over conventional batteries as well as being safer.

The SPS Preformance Lithium Ion Motorcycle batteries are the latest in motorcycle technology and are the lightest and the most environmentally friendly on the market. More than 65% weight saving over normal lead acid type batteries (440g for kickstart and 900g for electric start), they are smaller than the orininals but with more cranking power.
They will not spill as they do not contain acid and can be fitted on their side if necessary. They contain no lead, mercury or cadmium so are environmentally friendly.
The standard lead acid battery for the electric start models gives 190 cold cranking amps, at 240cca the replacement lithium battery gives over 25% more. This extra performance could help to save the sprag clutch problems which can occur when starting the bike. Not cheap, but an excellent improvement to any electric start model.

This is the battery carrier fitted to the early Bullets which some owners are fitting on the later models.

NOTE 1: This will require the replacement of the battery (approximate dimensions of battery required are: 120 x 90 x 160mm).

NOTE 2: We can also supply the empty "Exide" style black dummy battery case which can then be fitted with small 6v and 12v batteries as listed below. These small batteries are not suitable for electric start models. However, we are NOT allowed to send acid through the post so these batteries will need to be filled locally.
Alternatively, we also supply 6v gel batteries that will also fit in these cases. These can be wired in series to give 12v which will both comfortably fit in one battery box.

These are the later battery rubber straps but have a multitude of uses.

This is a pressed steel battery cover made and chromed in India and is suitable for kickstart models.

Suitable for Indian built 350 & 500cc Bullets (1995 - 1998) but as there are some differences in models please check the picture and that your battery size is approximately 103 x 90 x 114mm.

This battery cover is hand crafted and chromed in India and is suitable for later kickstart models with the oblong battery.

Suitable for Indian built 350 & 500cc Bullet Export models (1995 - 1998) and Indian built 350 & 500cc Bullet Home market models (1997 - 2002). But as there are some differences in models please check the picture and that your battery size is approximately 121 x 61 x 131mm.

This is the later LOCKABLE battery cover fitted to the kickstart models, made and chromed in India.

Suitable for Indian built 350 & 500cc Bullets (2002 onwards), but as there are some differences in models please check the picture and that your battery size is approximately 121 x 61 x 131mm.

Note: No lock is supplied as you can transfer the one from your old cover.

This is the LOCKABLE battery cover fitted to the electric start models and is made and chromed in India.

Suitable for Indian built 500cc Electric Start Bullets and the Bullet Sixty 5. But as there are some differences between models please check the photograph and that your battery size is 132 x 90 x 168mm.

Note: No lock is supplied as you can transfer the one from your old cover.

An English made cover which is the same as the cover shown above (Part No.: 92022) but made from fibreglass. It is not unknown for the battery terminals to short out on the standard metal battery covers with devastating results. This cover will solve this problem. Finished in gloss black.

This is an English made fixing which replaces the standard plastic lock fitted to the bottom of the battery cover from around 2003. This reverts the lock back to an older style thumbscrew style which is less likely to break than the standard fitting, reducing the likelyhood of loosing the battery cover.

A simple and very effective charger for 6v and 12v lead acid, sealed, VRLA or gel batteries. Trickle charge with autostop to prevent overcharging and dual colour indicator and reverse polarity protection.

State of the art automatic battery optimisation!
Since its launch in 1995, Optimate has received wide acclaim as an outstanding compact automatic charger, maintainer and recoverer for motorcycle batteries.

Both units are multi-stage automatic charging programme monitors which control both voltage and current while charging the battery to ensure optimum charge for the battery, without any risk of over-charging. Ideal for long-term maintenance of batteries of irregular or seasonal use.

Note 1: 6 stage Optimate III (98008) is suitable for 12v Batteries only.

Note 2: 4 stage Accumate (98009) is suitable for 6v and 12v Batteries.

If you have a second bike, the permanent leads (as the one supplied in the kit) are available as a separate item. These can be wired into the bike and left fixed so that the Optimate or Accumate can be quickly changed from one bike to another.

A modern rectifier to replace the standatd plate rectifier of bikes in the 50's and 60's. Far more robust and reliable. Will 6v or 12v.

A copy of the rectifier used on British bikes in the 50's and 60's. Will suit 6v or 12v positive earth models.

This unit replaces the unreliable regulator/rectifier and allows the bike to be run with or without a battery. Suitable for any 12v single phase alternator equiped machine including the latest AC/DC Bullets.

Note 1: The Electra and Thunderbird require a different unit to the Classic engined Bullets. This is also listed below.

Note 2: Dynamo Regulator Sytems - These are the equivalent of the Boyer Powerbox above but for dynamos rather than alternators. They replace the old mechanical voltage control box. Suitable for Redditch 350 Bullets (49-55) and Redditch 500 Bullets (53-55).

This is a genuine Lucas Ammeter as used in the 1960's. It can be fitted as a replacement for the Indian item to give a more classic look.

This is the standard ammeter as fitted to most early Indian made Bullets, but can be fitted to any year.

This is the standard ammeter as fitted to most later Indian made Bullets, but can be fitted to any year.

This is a white faced ammeter as fitted to some of the Indian home market Bullets, and can be retrofitted to virtually any model.

The later grey faced ammeter fitted to later models but can be fitted to any year.

This is a quality LED battery gauge made by Koso which will accurately show how your charging system is working. It is simple to wire with just 2 connections and being self adhesive will fit anywhere but is ideally sized for fitting on the handlebar clamp. Perfect for the new EFI models but can be fitted to any model instead of the ammeter.

An aftermarket encapsulated alternator which gives out up to 120 watts, far in excess of the standard unit. It is suitable for running higher wattage or halogen bulbs.

Until recently only the pre June 1999 versions have been available, but Lucas have now made an exclusive batch for us to suit the later 4 wire alternators fitted to the AC/DC equipped Bullets.

Either rotor listed can be used with any of the stators listed.

This is a simple laminate device which can be wrapped around the alternator rotor before tightening the outer stator. Once the stator has been fitted it is easily removed. A far easier process than messing around with feelergauges
