DYNOJET POWER COMMANDER
The first step to tuning your Bullet is to fine tune the fuel to air mixture that the engine receives. With carburettor models this is fairly easy but with the EFI models it is all controlled by a factory set “ECU” (engine control unit). Even with a standard engine we have found that the mixture ratio is not always perfect and can not be adjusted. In conjunction with Dynojet UK we have developed a “Power Commander 5 System”. This works by piggy backing the existing ECU which makes changes to the existing settings to deliver the optimum ratio of fuel and air at any given throttle position and engine revs. Whilst this can offer some improvements on a standard model, it is essential when tuning the engine with different silencers and air filters etc. Dyno figures show that we have gained approximately 20% increase in BHP at the rear wheel coupled with a smoother power curve by using a different air filter and silencer.
OXYGEN SENSOR BLANKING BOLT (Part Number: 91008A) If you have fitted the Dynojet Power Commander you will need to disconnect the oxygen sensor in the exhaust pipe. This stainless steel polished domed bolt can be used to blank off the hole that is left exposed when you remove the sensor.

ELECTRONIC IGNITION (EUREKA)
This Eureka electronic ignition is the one that is fitted as standard by the factory to some later Indian built Bullets. It is not as sophisticated as the Boyer kits as it still retains the mechanical advance/retard mechanism. It replaces the points and condenser and is easy to wire in.

ELECTRONIC IGNITION (STANDARD and DIGITAL)
ELECTRONIC IGNITION—This kit allows the replacement of the old fashioned points with a modern electronic version. Made by Boyer Bransden you can fit and forget. No more worn out points, condenser, advance unit or distributor bushes. Simple to fit, it comes with full instructions. As well as the kit for Redditch Bullets we offer 2 other systems, the standard kit, with the introduction of the new MK4 works well for both 350 and 500cc. The digital kit has an improved advance curve which is more beneficial for the 500cc.
Note 1: The introduction of the updated MK4 kit in 2009 has vastly improved the previous problems associated with low voltage due to poor batteries or charging system. If you have the MK3 ignition you can up rate your ignition with just the ignition box,Part Number: 200001A.

AUTO ADVANCE SPRINGS
Worn out or weak springs can play havoc with the advancing of your ignition timing and can cause pinking. These are an English made replacement.

The distributors fitted to the early Indian built Bullets (which use bushes on the shaft instead of bearings) can suffer from excessive end float allowing the points plate and condenser to become damaged. These shims can be fitted between the distributor and the drive pinion to prevent this. They are 0.3mm (0.012") thick, more than one can be fitted if required.
