After the year 2000 most tanks were fitted with the lockable flip-up cap. There are 2 different versions of this: generally one type for the classic models and one type for the leanburn. However, this may vary so please check the associated picture to ensure you order the correct shape cap.

These are the standard badges fitted to Redditch Enfields from the 1950's and 60's. Whilst they will screw directly on these Redditch models, they will not fit Indian Bullets. However, an increasing number of owners are bonding these to their tank. They are supplied as a set which includes the backing rubbers and fixing scews.

We use the standard Indian winged backings, re-chrome these in England and fit a new centre piece which gives these a much superior look. Please note these badges are screwed on and the petrol tanks designed for these badges have the relative holes. These can also be bonded on to any of the standard tanks using an adhesive similar to Araldite.

SUITABLE FOR MODERN FUELS WITH ETHANOL (BIO-FUELS)
The recent addition of ethanol in petrol in the UK and Europe has caused many problems with fibreglass petrol tanks and tanks that have been sealed with previously perfectly good resins. The ethanol is attacking the surfaces with potentially devastating results. As this is a relatively new problem over here there is conflicting advice on which products are suitable to cope. In America the ethanol has been around for many years with reliable products readily available, for this reason we now stock the long established and proven American brand of Caswell.
This sealant can be used on steel, alloy, plastic or fibreglass tanks to repair seeping or as a leak preventative on newer tanks. One kit is suitable for petrol tanks up to 38 litres or 8 gallons and can be split equally to treat smaller tanks.

PETROL TAP ADAPTOR — This adaptor will allow the fitting of the standard petrol taps listed above on to the late petrol tanks (with 2 screw fixing) fitted to the Electra and Thunderbird. You will need to re-use your original figure of 8 "O" ring or purchase the kit below.
The standard figure of 8 "O" ring is not listed as a separate part. We have found this petrol tap repair kit which includes the correct one and whilst the complete kit of parts are not going to be used, some of the items can be.

DOMED NUT

PETROL TANKS
We get asked why we do not stock the Indian made ALLOY tanks which have become available over the last few years. Lets face it, they are cheaper and similar in styles to our own tanks which would be expected as they have been copied. Last year we caved in to the requests and bought a couple of batches from two of our normal and usually good suppliers. Upon visual inspection the tanks look to be as expected. They are not perfect or free from defects but for the price good value. However, on testing them for leaks 9 out of 10 leaked so we did not go any further checking the others. For this reason we can not sell them as "fit for purpose" and until this problem is solved we will not stock these as a normal stock item.
We do have a quantity of these tanks that we will sell at a cut down price with no guarantee. Please enquire.

PETROL TANK (SMALL)

This is the small tank originally fitted to the export Royal Enfield twins of the late 60’s. The fixings kit, transfers, tap, bracket and cap etc are available as a separate item. It holds approximately 2.5 gallons.
Note 1: The chromed version is chromed in India and therefore not up to normal European standards.
Note 2: Suitable for all Indian Bullets, 350cc & 500cc (53-58) Redditch Bullets. N0T suitable for Thunderbird or EFI models.
