Tanks for the Indian home market use a different style of cap fitting than the standard export variety. This is the locking cap suitable for these internal bayonet style tanks.

This is a brass badge with enamelled “RE” logo similar to some used on the early Redditch models. It is ideally sized and can be bonded to the top of the petrol cap (15941) above.As fitted to the Indian Enfields during the 1990's. Suitable for Indian "export" tanks fitted with push and twist type caps.

This conversion is suitable for leanburn petrol tanks. It converts the standard flip-up cap to the earlier round, twist and turn type and includes all of the fixings required and the new cap.

Note: Suitable for Electra (X) and EFI models.

After the year 2000 most tanks were fitted with the lockable flip-up cap. There are 2 different versions of this: generally one type for the classic models and one type for the leanburn. However, this may vary so please check the associated picture to ensure you order the correct shape cap.

Note 1: Suitable for 350cc (02on), 500cc (02on) & Electric Start (02on) Indian Bullets, Bullet 65, Electra (X) and EFI models.

Note 2: If you require the fixing screws please select either the 4mm or 5mm options as appropriate.

This flip-up cap is the one we us on all of our alloy tanks with 2 inch threads.

Note: Can not be used on standard tanks.

These are the standard badges fitted to Redditch Enfields from the 1950's and 60's. Whilst they will screw directly on these Redditch models, they will not fit Indian Bullets. However, an increasing number of owners are bonding these to their tank. They are supplied as a set which includes the backing rubbers and fixing scews.

We use the standard Indian winged backings, re-chrome these in England and fit a new centre piece which gives these a much superior look. Please note these badges are screwed on and the petrol tanks designed for these badges have the relative holes. These can also be bonded on to any of the standard tanks using an adhesive similar to Araldite.

These are the standard Indian made tin badges which were fitted to some models.

These are a cast ank badges that were originally fitted to the American export Indian models of the late 1950's. They are finished in black and chrome and have a screw fitting which will also fit the Redditch made models which used the plastic tank badges.

This leather panel straps on, to help protect the top of your tank. It also has a handy pocket with a Royal Enfield logo discreetly embossed on it.

These knee pads are as fitted to the 1950s Bullets. They are a thin rubber which can be glued in place on virtually any petrol tank.

SUITABLE FOR MODERN FUELS WITH ETHANOL (BIO-FUELS)

The recent addition of ethanol in petrol in the UK and Europe has caused many problems with fibreglass petrol tanks and tanks that have been sealed with previously perfectly good resins. The ethanol is attacking the surfaces with potentially devastating results. As this is a relatively new problem over here there is conflicting advice on which products are suitable to cope. In America the ethanol has been around for many years with reliable products readily available, for this reason we now stock the long established and proven American brand of Caswell.

This sealant can be used on steel, alloy, plastic or fibreglass tanks to repair seeping or as a leak preventative on newer tanks. One kit is suitable for petrol tanks up to 38 litres or 8 gallons and can be split equally to treat smaller tanks.

This is a quality English made petrol tap produced to the same specification as traditionally fitted to the Royal Enfields (and other makes) from the 1950’s. It has the push/pull on/off operation with a reserve lever and filter.

This is a more economical replacement to the standard pertrol tap fitted to the European spec. Bullets. It has a filter and a reserve and fits directly into the tank, rather than relying on an adaptor piece, which can be troublesome.

We have obtained a batch of 1/4BSP petrol taps specifically for use with methanol. These have a larger hole to allow a faster flow of fuel which is required when using this type of fuel.

This is the standard German made tap fitted to most European Bullets during the 1990’s and 2000’s. The tap has a female thread and on pre 2003 models the tanks needed a separate adaptor and adaptor washer.

Note: NOT suitable for the ELECTRA (X), Thunderbird or EFI models.

The tap is supplied with a removable adaptor which gives the choice of male or female threads so it can be fitted to most Bullets.

If you are fitting an EFI petrol tank to your carburettor model, you will need this adaptor to fill the hole from the fuel pump and give you provision for a standard male petrol tap.

PETROL TAP ADAPTOR — This adaptor will allow the fitting of the standard petrol taps listed above on to the late petrol tanks (with 2 screw fixing) fitted to the Electra and Thunderbird. You will need to re-use your original figure of 8 "O" ring or purchase the kit below.

The standard figure of 8 "O" ring is not listed as a separate part. We have found this petrol tap repair kit which includes the correct one and whilst the complete kit of parts are not going to be used, some of the items can be.

A black self adhesive pad that can be fitted to virtually any petrol tank to help protect against scratching from your riding gear.

A red panel with black outlines which was originally fitted on the petrol tanks of the Royal Enfield Interceptors. This can be fitted to most tanks and is a simple rub-on transfer. It is illustrated on the tank of our "Trailblaster" model shown in the Kits section of this Accessory Catalogue.

This is a polished stainless steel domed nut. It replaces the 2 standard nuts that fasten the front of the petrol tank. A nice simple touch! Sold individually.

A simple but effective petrol filter which can easily be fitted in fuel line between the tank and the carburettor.

We get asked why we do not stock the Indian made ALLOY tanks which have become available over the last few years. Lets face it, they are cheaper and similar in styles to our own tanks which would be expected as they have been copied. Last year we caved in to the requests and bought a couple of batches from two of our normal and usually good suppliers. Upon visual inspection the tanks look to be as expected. They are not perfect or free from defects but for the price good value. However, on testing them for leaks 9 out of 10 leaked so we did not go any further checking the others. For this reason we can not sell them as "fit for purpose" and until this problem is solved we will not stock these as a normal stock item.

We do have a quantity of these tanks that we will sell at a cut down price with no guarantee. Please enquire.

Note 1: Suitable for all Indian Bullets, 350cc & 500cc (53-58) Redditch Bullets. N0T suitable for Thunderbird or EFI models.

As fitted to our Continental model. It is a few inches longer than the standard tank so will need to be fitted in conjunction with our sports seat (Part No.: 91409 - please see the 'Accessory Catalogue > Kits > Continental' section). This English made tank is very well manufactured and is supplied with cap, tap, transfers and all fixings. By fitting this tank and the seat you will have a completely different styled Bullet. It has a highly polished finish. Approx 4 gallon capacity.

Note: Suitable for all Indian Bullets, 350cc & 500cc (53-58) Redditch Bullets & Electra EFI. N0T suitable for Thunderbird or Classic EFI as we do not have a suitable seat to match it.
