Tanks for the Indian home market use a different style of cap fitting than the standard export variety. This is the locking cap suitable for these internal bayonet style tanks.

This is a brass badge with enamelled “RE” logo similar to some used on the early Redditch models. It is ideally sized and can be bonded to the top of the petrol cap (15941) above.As fitted to the Indian Enfields during the 1990's. This conversion is suitable for models with flip-up petrol caps. It converts the standard flip-up cap to the earlier round, twist and turn type and includes all of the fixings required and a new chrome cap.
There are 2 different styles of flip-up cap, each with its own conversion. To identify which type you require see the picture associated with the item below.

After the year 2000 most tanks were fitted with the lockable flip-up cap. There are 2 different versions of this: generally one type for the classic models and one type for the leanburn. However, this may vary so please check the associated picture to ensure you order the correct shape cap.

Note: If you require the fixing screws please select either the 4mm or 5mm options as appropriate.

This flip-up cap is the one we us on all of our alloy tanks with 2 inch threads.

These are the standard badges fitted to Redditch Enfields from the 1950's and 60's. Whilst they will screw directly on these Redditch models, they will not fit Indian Bullets. However, an increasing number of owners are bonding these to their tank. They are supplied as a set which includes the backing rubbers and fixing scews.

We use the standard Indian winged backings, re-chrome these in England and fit a new centre piece which gives these a much superior look. Please note these badges are screwed on and the petrol tanks designed for these badges have the relative holes. These can also be bonded on to any of the standard tanks using an adhesive similar to Araldite.

These are the standard Indian made tin badges which were fitted to some models.

These are a cast ank badges that were originally fitted to the American export Indian models of the late 1950's. They are finished in black and chrome and have a screw fitting which will also fit the Redditch made models which used the plastic tank badges.

This leather panel straps on, to help protect the top of your tank. It also has a handy pocket with a Royal Enfield logo discreetly embossed on it.

These knee pads are as fitted to the 1950s Bullets. They are a thin rubber which can be glued in place on virtually any petrol tank.

SUITABLE FOR MODERN FUELS WITH ETHANOL (BIO-FUELS)

The recent addition of ethanol in petrol in the UK and Europe has caused many problems with fibreglass petrol tanks and tanks that have been sealed with previously perfectly good resins. The ethanol is attacking the surfaces with potentially devastating results. As this is a relatively new problem over here there is conflicting advice on which products are suitable to cope. In America the ethanol has been around for many years with reliable products readily available, for this reason we now stock the long established and proven American brand of Caswell.

This sealant can be used on steel, alloy, plastic or fibreglass tanks to repair seeping or as a leak preventative on newer tanks. One kit is suitable for petrol tanks up to 38 litres or 8 gallons and can be split equally to treat smaller tanks.

This is a quality English made petrol tap produced to the same specification as traditionally fitted to the Royal Enfields (and other makes) from the 1950’s. It has the push/pull on/off operation with a reserve lever and filter.

This is a more economical replacement to the standard pertrol tap fitted to the European spec. Bullets. It has a filter and a reserve and fits directly into the tank, rather than relying on an adaptor piece, which can be troublesome.

This is a similar tap to the one above but with a lock.

We have obtained a batch of 1/4BSP petrol taps specifically for use with methanol. These have a larger hole to allow a faster flow of fuel which is required when using this type of fuel.

This is the standard German made tap fitted to most European Bullets during the 1990’s and 2000’s. The tap has a female thread and on pre 2003 models the tanks needed a separate adaptor and adaptor washer.

This is a replacement for the standard petrol tap fitted to the European spec. Bullets. It has a filter and a reserve along with a position indicator.

If you are fitting an EFI petrol tank to your carburettor model, you will need various parts to make the tank usable. This kit will convert a totally "bare" tank, or we can supply any of the individual parts that maybe needed.
