19 INCH EFI WHEELS

The Classic EFI models come with wide 18” front and rear wheels as standard. We have found that some owners have suffered “speed wobble” at higher road speeds especially on bumpier roads. By changing the wheels to the 19” (from the Electra EFI) the problem is all but cured.
Note: We now also offer a fork brace which helps this problem, see details in: Accessory Catalogue > Frame/Chassis > Suspension (Front)> FORK BRACE.

HALF WIDTH HUB

This is the 6'' front hub fitted to the early 50's Redditch Bullets and the 60's and 70's Indian Bullets. This can be fitted to virtually any later Bullet but with its smaller size and poorer braking we would not recommend it for road use.
Note: NOT suitable for Redditch built 350 Enfields after 1958. Also NOT suitable for the Electra (X) and Electra EFI, Thunderbird and Classic EFI.

WHEELS

We have obtained a batch of wheels for Indian built Royal Enfield Bullets. They have been removed from new bikes when alloy wheels were fitted and whilst they may have some minor marks and blemishes, they have done little more than delivery mileage. Due to the nature of supply, the stock of these may be limited.
The front is the twin leading brake and is complete including brake and speedo gearbox. This wheel, with superior brake, can be retro fitted to earlier models including Redditch models, please ask for details.
The rear is just the bare wheel.
Note 1: As these wheels are from the Indian domestic market the spokes are galvanised NOT stainless steel.

AVON TYRES AM

These tyres offer excellent grip for those riders that want to push their Bullets a little harder. A further development of the AM18 and AM20, the contour of the tyre ensures a large footprint at all angles. The two 19" sizes listed below are ideal for the standard rims fitted to the Bullets and fitted as standard to the Electra and EFI models.

8/10 BUTTED SPOKES

These were fitted to most Redditch made Royal Enfield models. The end that
fits in the hub is a bigger diameter than the rest of the spoke to get the best compromise between weight and strength. They have a 90 degree head. These replacements are in polished stainless steel.

STANDARD SPOKES

These are the standard spokes fitted to the modern Bullets with full width hubs and drum brakes. They are a single gauge spoke in stainless steel.
Important Note: The difference between the inner and outer spokes on the drum brakes is minimal. The outer spokes have a head angle of just under 90 degrees and the inner spokes are just over 90 degrees.

TYRE INFLATOR

This is a top quality English manufactured pump made to a high specification with steel barrel and finished in black (do not confuse this high quality pump with the cheap imitations that are also available). It is a replica of the ones fitted to the 1950's Bullets. It comes complete with clips to allow easy fitment to the Indian Bullet frame. This pump fits discreetly on the frame rail just below the right hand toolbox.

4 SPEED CHAIN AND SPROCKET KIT:
The standard replacement chain and sprocket kit. The 350cc uses a 16 tooth gearbox sprocket and the 500 uses a 17 tooth sprocket as standard.
5 SPEED CHAIN AND SPROCKET KIT:
A standard replacement chain and sprocket kit. The 350cc uses a 16t gearbox sprocket and the 500 uses a 17t sprocket, although a lot of owners may have increased their gearbox sprocket by 1 tooth.
Note: NOT suitable for Redditch Bullets or EFI models.

REAR WHEEL SPROCKETS (BOLT ON)

We can supply a bolt on sprocket in various sizes so that you can raise or lower your gearing quickly. You will need to purchase the machined brake drum as a one off and then your choice of sprocket as listed below. Standard is 38 teeth, so more teeth will give you lower gearing.
Note 1: Models before 1986 have only 3 cush drive vanes where models after 1986 have 4 vanes.
Note 2: Suitable for all 350cc (49-55) Redditch Bullets and Indian models. NOT suitable for 500cc Reditch Bullets.
Note 3: Also available in alloy.
