SUITABLE FOR MODERN FUELS WITH ETHANOL (BIO-FUELS)
The recent addition of ethanol in petrol in the UK and Europe has caused many problems with fibreglass petrol tanks and tanks that have been sealed with previously perfectly good resins. The ethanol is attacking the surfaces with potentially devastating results. As this is a relatively new problem over here there is conflicting advice on which products are suitable to cope. In America the ethanol has been around for many years with reliable products readily available, for this reason we now stock the long established and proven American brand of Caswell.
This sealant can be used on steel, plastic, alloy or fibreglass tanks to repair seeping or as a leak preventative on newer tanks. One kit is suitable for petrol tanks up to 38 litres or 8 gallons and can be split equally to treat smaller tanks.
