| The simple way to repair damaged threads or create stronger threads in alloy components. Recoils are made from stainless steel diamond shape wire to match the profile of internal thread and external screw thread. The insert is larger in diameter than the tapped hole and compresses during installation and springs back permanently anchored in the tapped hole. Each kit contains: Quality high speed steel (HSS) ground thread intermediate tap, quantity of inserts, installation/tang break tool, easy to follow instructions and a sturdy reusable container. Recommended drill size is given on the label. Extra inserts available in most sizes, please enquire. Note: We can now also supply 2 "kits" which contain a selection of the most commonly used Cycle and Metric sizes. |
