Fork seals

I recently changed my bullets forkseals (1993) and I noticed that despite the shroud the area inside the leg above the final seal had filled up with crud - arguably not the best for seals or the wire clip. Anyone any suggestions for a dust seal or something to stop this happening

TIA

See fork seal replacement after 1988 above Its under Technical Notes for more details. But have you removed the bolt from the bottom underneath.

You could fit fork gaiters if your not too worried about changing the appearance slightly as this adds better protection to the fork tubes as well.

Derek, have you removed the large nut at the bottom of the fork leg?
