I have just fitted a sat nav to my bullet 350 and thought I would share this in case anyone else is thinking of doing the same. It's fitted in a case on the handlebar and worked for a short time and then the screen scrambled. Switched off and on and it was o.k. I found it was the noisy power supply and fitted a filter consisting of an inductor and capacitor and now it works fine. I am not sure what the value the inductor is as I took it from an old PC power supply but the capacitor is 1000uF. If anyone wants more details I would be happy to sort some out.

Strange that you have this problem. I have had two Garmins on my Bullet with no trouble, just plugged into the cigarette lighter power outlet.

Maybe the Garmin Nuvi is less sensitive than the Drive 50 or maybe its my bikes power regulator being noisy. It seems fine with the filter. |

Could be some RF interference/currewnt induction from the ignition too? My old Jawa was terrible for it, I fitted a digital speedo to it once and it was dead within 15 miles. |
